What you agree to when using the platform

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Zault Storage, a SaaS platform for database backup and restore automation (the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing the panel, or using any feature, you declare that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a legal entity, you declare that you have authority to bind it to these Terms and will be responsible for actions of authorized users under your account.

Zault Storage provides a web panel to configure source connections, storage destinations, scheduled backup routines, operational monitoring, and assisted database restore for engines supported by the platform.

The Service automates technical tasks under instructions you define. It does not replace architecture assessment, internal security policies, disaster recovery testing, or human oversight of your operations.

Features, database engines, integrations, and available limits may vary according to your subscribed plan and product evolution.

To use the Service, you must provide true, complete, and up-to-date registration information and keep it accurate throughout use.

You are responsible for ensuring you have legal authorization to access servers, databases, storages, and other resources you configure in the panel.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate registrations that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or contain manifestly false information.

Access to Service resources may be subject to plans with limits on connections, storages, routines, executions, restores, and other parameters published on the platform.

Prices, billing cycle, renewal, cancellation, and refunds — when online payment is available — will be clearly disclosed before purchase, in compliance with applicable consumer protection law.

We reserve the right to change plans, limits, and prices for new subscriptions, with prior notice when required by law. Changes do not retroactively affect conditions already accepted and paid, except by agreement or legal provision.

Non-payment of amounts due, when applicable, may result in suspension or downgrade of features after reasonable notice.

You are responsible for account credential confidentiality and for all activities after authentication, except use proven to result exclusively from a non-mitigable failure of the Service.

When registering SSH connections, direct databases, storages, or SFTP destinations, you authorize Zault Storage to use the information provided solely to run connectivity tests, preflight checks, backups, restores, retention, and operational notifications configured by you.

You must grant least-privilege permissions, rotate secrets when appropriate, and revoke access when ending use of the Service.

Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use of your account.

You retain ownership and control over data in source and destination databases, as well as over generated backup files, unless otherwise required by law.

You are solely responsible for: (i) ensuring you have a legal basis to process and copy data subject to backup; (ii) complying with data protection, confidentiality, regulated sector laws, and your organization’s internal policies; (iii) defining retention compatible with your obligations; and (iv) periodically validating backup integrity and restorability.

Zault Storage does not access the semantic content of databases beyond what is necessary to perform dumps, transfers, technical checks, and restores you request.

Files stored in destinations you configure remain under your governance and subject to the respective provider’s terms.

You must use the Service lawfully, ethically, and in accordance with these Terms, only to protect infrastructure and data you are authorized to access.

You agree not to deliberately overload the platform, circumvent plan limits, exploit vulnerabilities, or use the Service for purposes other than authorized backup and restore operations.

You may not use the Service to: violate laws or regulations; access systems or data without authorization; store or process unlawful content; compromise third-party security; distribute malware; perform unauthorized reverse engineering; or interfere with platform operation.

You may also not use the Service to back up data obtained unlawfully or in breach of confidentiality agreements, software licenses, or third-party policies.

We may investigate suspicious use, suspend or terminate access, remove risky configurations, and cooperate with competent authorities, without prejudice to other applicable measures.

Zault Storage, its brand, code, interface, documentation, and other Service elements are protected by intellectual property laws. No ownership rights are transferred to you beyond a limited use license during the contractual term.

Copying, modifying, distributing, sublicensing, or unauthorized commercial exploitation of the software is prohibited except within legal limits or with express permission.

We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete absence of failures, or successful backup or restore in every circumstance.

External factors — such as source server unavailability, destination storages, networks, third-party providers, scheduled maintenance, or force majeure — may affect executions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as is. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits non-waivable consumer rights or mandatory legal provisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Zault Storage will not be liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost revenue, or data loss resulting exclusively from third-party failures or inadequate user configurations, except where law does not allow such limitation.

Where contractual or legal liability exists, it will generally be limited to amounts actually paid by the user to Zault Storage in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where law imposes liability without possibility of limitation.

You acknowledge that an adequate backup strategy requires redundancy, periodic restore testing, and internal controls; the Service is a support tool, not an absolute guarantee against data loss.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zault Storage, its representatives, and providers, to the extent permitted by law, from third-party claims arising from unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, lack of authorization to process data, or infringement of third-party rights related to configurations you perform.

You may end use at any time, subject to plan conditions and any pending obligations.

We may suspend or terminate access in case of serious or repeated violation of these Terms, security risk, default, or legal requirement, preferably with prior notice except when urgency is justified.

After termination, we may retain or delete data according to the Privacy Policy, applicable law, and the need to complete operations already started. We recommend exporting or migrating relevant information before cancellation.

Personal data processing follows the Privacy Policy published on this site.

We may send operational communications about account, security, backup executions, and relevant Service changes. Promotional communications will depend on an adequate legal basis and, when necessary, consent.

We may change these Terms to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. The effective date will be shown in the document.

Material changes may be communicated with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after they take effect may constitute acceptance, without prejudice to rights under mandatory consumer protection law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

If you are a consumer under Brazilian consumer protection law, you may choose the forum of your domicile to resolve disputes, under applicable consumer law.

In other cases, the courts of the controller’s domicile of Zault Storage are elected, subject to different legal competence.
